How to
configure 3rd party email accounts in
Outlook Express
for use with
CaribServe.NET
If you have e-mail
accounts with providers other than CaribServe.NET you need to follow
these steps to have them work correctly when connected via your
CaribServe.NET connection.
The example given
herein is based on the Microsoft Outlook Express email client (program).
Configuration steps may vary for other programs.
-
Open Outlook Express and go to
menu Tools and then Accounts
.
-
In the following window select
the tab called Mail.

-
In the list of accounts select
the e-mail account of your other provider. Next, click on the button
Properties.
-
In the following window select
the tab Servers.

-
In this screen you must change
the setting for the Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server. Remove the current
value and replace it with smtp.CaribServe.NET.
-
Near the bottom of this screen,
select the option called My Server Requires Authentication. Next,
click on the button Settings.
-
In the following screen select
the second option called Logon Using and enter your CaribServe.NET
username and password. Note that these settings are case-sensitive!

-
Click on the button OK. In the
next window click on the button OK as well.
-
Your e-mail account has now been
reconfigured to work through the CaribServe.NET connection.
-
You must repeat these steps for
any other e-mail accounts that you have with providers other than
CaribServe.NET.
Congratulations!! Outlook Express is now configured.
